About Us

Aims and Scope

The Caribbean Medical Journal is an inclusive medical journal reporting research in the areas of clinical medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, pharmacology and allied health specialties. The journal aims to showcase research within the Caribbean region publishing original articles, reviews, case reports, viewpoints, short reports and letters to the editor.  We welcome submissions pertaining to both clinical sciences as well as basic sciences, provided their clinical relevance is well explained in the paper.

The journal also supports the involvement of patients and public in research and journals. The CMJ Reflections series aims to present patient, caregiver and physician perspectives on living with illness and experiences related to using health services in the region.

Author(s) retain copyright and full publishing rights of their published articles without restrictions and grant to the publisher non-exclusive right to publish their articles, to be cited as its original publisher in case of reuse, and to distribute it in all forms and media.

Change in Journal Type

Caribbean Medical Journal was previously published as a print subscription journal and has now converted to a fully open access electronic model in November 2018. Archived material is currently only available in print and on request. All rights reserved for reuse of the archived material.
